A Company profile
CAM IMPLANTS. Pioneers in progress.

CAM Implants bv has long been one of the pioneers in biomaterial development. CAM Implants was founded in 1985 and is based in the Bio-Science Park in Leiden, the Netherlands. CAM occupies a 10,000 square foot production facility in Leiden. At this facility, we conduct our coating services, produce bioceramic powders and bone substitutes, and do research & development for new innovative products. On a commercial basis, CAM Implants was one of the first companies to apply a bioceramic calcium-phosphate (hydroxyapatite) coating to medical joint prostheses like hips and knees, and to dental implants. Today, CAM Implants is a worldwide leader in ceramic and titanium prosthetic-coating services and implant products for the orthopedic, dental and ENT markets. CAM Implants' strength lies in its high-quality products/services and its limited size; CAM has the ability to be flexible in its operation regarding the development, production and marketing of custom-made products. Therefore, CAM assists even the largest orthopedic companies in their development efforts.

Today, CAM's pioneering spirit is reflected in its relentless quest for new bioceramic materials and the ongoing development of new medical applications - one of the latest being the full range of CAMCERAM® bone-graft substitutes.

CAM Implants bv strives to deliver products of the highest quality and therefore adheres to the most stringent guidelines of quality manufacturing practices. Our facilities in Leiden are therefore certified by TNO to the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 standards.
